KNOWLEDGE /QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience
- 5+ years practical experience in Public Health including maternal & child health, HIV/AIDS with a reputable organization.
- At least three years’ experience in program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Maternal & Child Health, and HIV&AIDS programs.
- Demonstrated experience with progressively increasing responsibility for designing, managing, and implementing complex health activities, with a focus on MNCH programming in low-income countries involving multiple stakeholders and implementing partners direct experience with quality of care and respectful maternity care a plus.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working with governments, professional associations, health care professionals and communities to prioritize and address MNCH issues
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
- Master’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health /Project management or other health-related Sciences
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- Experience in working on donor funded maternal health programs
- Understanding maternal and child issues on a local, regional, and international level
- Good team player, self-starter, has ability to work under minimum supervision and maintain good relationships
- Ability to work on tight deadlines
