Job Tittle: Instrumentation Engineer – Power Plant

Description

Select, install, calibrate, and check sensing, telemetering, and recording instrumentation and circuitry.
Develop specifications for nonstandard apparatus according to engineering data, characteristics of equipment under test, and capabilities of procurable test apparatus.
Sketch and build or modify jigs, fixtures, and instruments and related apparatus, and verifies dimensional and functional acceptability of devices fabricated by craft or technical personnel.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of field instruments, test apparatus and peripheral equipment.
Install or direct technical personnel in installation of unit in test chamber or other test facility.
Operate test apparatus during test cycle to produce, regulate, and record effects of actual or simulated conditions such as vibration, stress, temperature, humidity, pressure, altitude, and acceleration.
Analyze and convert test data to usable form and prepares graphs and written reports to translate test results.
Examine and test electrical power distribution machinery and equipment, using testing devices.
Calibration of control valve, field transmitters and SWAS system.
Plan test program.
Use computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce graphs.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Section Head, Maintenance from time to time.

Job Tittle: Electrical Engineer – Power Plant

Description

Operation & Maintenance, Trouble shooting of Electrical equipment’s.
Responsible for trouble free operation of assigned area to achieve optimum reliability and availability of equipment’s and spares’.
Implementation of safety measures and compliance of safety guidelines.
Material management of assigned area for smooth power plant operation.
Provides adequate maintenance support to reduce downtime.
Implements maintenance schedule of electrical equipment’s.
Maintains the maintenance records of equipment.
Job planning and execution.
Shift Electrical Maintenance.
Testing of motors and switchgear.
Follow all safety rules of Electrical maintenance.
Control circuit of MCC, ACDB, LDB, PMCC and HV switchgear systems.
Maintenance of plant illumination system.
Power evacuation system maintenance.
Calibration of meters and relays by secondary and primary injection kits.
Motor testing and maintenance.
Transformer testing and maintenance.
Low Voltage and High Voltage VFD operation and maintenance.
Responsible for trouble free operation of assigned area to achieve optimum reliability and availability of equipment and spares.
Implementation of safety measures and compliance of safety guidelines.
Material management of assigned area for smooth power plant operations.
Provides adequate maintenance support to reduce downtime.
Implements maintenance schedule for electrical equipment’s.
Maintains the maintenance records of equipment.
Perform any other duties may assigned by Senior.

Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or any other electrical related field.
Should be registered by Engineers Board (ERB).
Minimum of four (4) years of work experience preferably power plant.
Previously Experience in Cement Plant will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge in the use and maintenance of electrical equipment.
Commitment to implemented safety and environment regulations.
Good data gathering and analysis skills.
Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.
Creativity and an ability to think out of the box.
