The Bank of Tanzania (BOT) serves as the Central Bank of the United Republic of Tanzania, was established under the Bank of Tanzania Act of 1965, and commenced operations on 14th June 1966 with a major objective of fostering macro-economic stability and modernized financial system in sustenance of the country’s middle-income status and beyond.
