Position Description

• A subsidiary of one of the biggest microfinance organizations in the world, ASA International (www.asa-international.com), ASA Microfinance Tanzania Limited was established in Tanzania under the Companies Act 2002 (No. 93819). We are extending an invitation to qualified Tanzanian nationals to join our team in the following positions. For the following roles, which are open for immediate appointment, ASA Tanzania, an equal opportunity employer, is looking for young men and women who are passionate about the socioeconomic development of people.

Job: 100 Loan Officers (LO) Posts

Occupational Duties:

• to create and keep up a sizable, high-caliber loan portfolio.
• to carry out member screening and recruitment.
• to introduce them to the specific loan products and services.
• There must be a minimum of 350 total clients in order to form groups on all workdays of the week.
• Keep in touch with the organizations and clients on the ground.
• Verify the client's income-generating activities (IGA) and other associated information to process loan applications.
• Collect installment payments from clients in groups on a regular and timely basis.
• to oversee and collect loan repayments as well as to handle loan disbursements.
• Verify the home of the client's guarantor and the other required documentation.
• to offer clients high-quality services with a focus on their needs.
• to complete daily tasks in the required manner.
• must complete the necessary papers for the day.

Requirements for education and experience:

• Bachelor's degree, Advanced Diploma, Master's, and Diploma.
• Although not necessary, prior experience will be advantageous.
• willing to perform fieldwork.
• ready to relocate
• working autonomously with minimal supervision
• sensitive to the operational hazards, independent, and decisive with high moral standards.
• must be able to negotiate effectively and to work well in a team context.
• good communication skills both in writing and speaking.
• Renumeration: A competitive pay package based on qualifications and experience will be provided.
