Position Description

Assistant Relationship Manager - Alternate Delivery Channel is the position's title.
Banking Department, Retail
Head of Alternative Channel and Digital Sales
In charge of: All digital and alternative channel sales
Country: Zanzibar

AIM OF THE JOB

  • This position's goal is to expand the bank's Merchant Acquiring business through the launch of Exim Mobile Wallet, POS, and other digital products. Create and maintain relationships with new, important merchants. Identify, preserve, and expand business prospects with current merchants. Support the current retailers.

Primary responsibilities include

  • As necessary, create additional sales and revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Ensure that the client's business goals are accomplished and that the performance metrics of their payment portfolios are maximized by using a consultative sales approach.
  • Prepare proposals, powerful sales presentations, and contract negotiations with prospective and current clients.
  • Be the merchant's exclusive point of contact. High-quality customer service with a proactive, problem-solving attitude is provided.
  • Develop current ties and partnerships through the sale of Bank products and services, both conventional and digitally, in order to identify and cultivate strategic relationships within the merchant organization that will elevate partner talks to focus on growth.
  • Together with the relationship managers, the head of corporate investment banking, and/or the branch heads, plan events and promotions to attract new clients.
  • Create workflows and processes that increase team involvement.
  • Internally represent the interests of the client while interacting successfully with teams from different departments, including as product management, customer service, and finance.
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of the merchant's operations and provide analytical and strategic reports that will help track business in relation to business
  • Make and keep records of your daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales calls.
  • Publish activity reports every week.
  • Reports on tariffs and product information from rivals are required.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • a business administration or economics degree from university, or any equivalent professional experience in marketing, banking, or finance
  • Working in the banking business for at least 4 years in a relevant capacity would be advantageous.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND COMPETENCIES

  • knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) device deployment, configuration, and support
  • knowledge of new, developing technology systems and computer literacy
