According to Government Notice No. 143 of 2016, the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance (PO PSMGG) is a Ministry within the President's Office.
The President's Office, Public Service Management was its previous name before 2016. (PO-PSM). The Permanent Secretary is its main executive and accounting officer, and it employs roughly 300 people overall. The President's Office, Public Service Management (PO-PSM), formerly known as the Civil Service Department, was renamed in 2003 to comply with the recently passed Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002. The chance to incorporate efficiency and effectiveness concerns into the management of the public service, specifically in the execution of the ongoing public service reforms and in the supply of its services, was taken along with the transformation.
