Wasoko is redefining access to necessary products and services, transforming communities throughout Africa. Small brick and mortar retailers are linked to the digital economy, which improves inefficient supply chains and makes services previously unattainable to unregistered firms available. Wasoko's mobile ordering and delivery platform is used by thousands of shops in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, and Zambia to get the products they require as soon as possible and at the lowest possible cost.
Product Manager for a Country, reporting to the Senior PM Internationalization & Localization
An experienced, data-driven, and highly technical product management specialist with considerable experience developing and delivering B2B software solutions in Africa is sought after by Wasoko.

Responsibility & Tasks

In close coordination with the product group at the corporate headquarters, take control of the product vision and establishing the roadmap for Wasoko's success in Tanzania.
To gain a deeper grasp of the target customer profiles and all facets of our field operations, conduct frequent field excursions and in-person user research.
To inform your customer roadmap, do in-depth assessments of Local user cohorts in terms of key commercial KPIs as well as variables like demography, location, store size, shop type, etc.
Supply chain systems to find possibilities for process changes to spur efficiency gains from the inside out to the final mile.
Draft thorough product specifications to meet the needs of users (internal and external) in Tanzania and take part in engineering development sprints.
Work with product marketing, tech support, and training to schedule rollouts.
Measure implementation success and report it.

Requirements

The ideal applicant is knowledgeable with the requirements of Tanzania's informal retailers and has 5 years of experience creating and executing B2B software solutions.
He or she also possesses the following abilities, characteristics, & credentials:
Business, computer science, or other relevant major and/or work experience required in higher education
an authority on agile product management techniques and instruments
skilled at creating applications for low-end hardware and unreliable connectivity
Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking
Dedicated and proactive team member for several disciplines
