Position Description
- All areas of AHN operations' financial and fiscal management fall within the purview of this position. While ensuring that all financial transactions are carried out in compliance with statutory and organizational rules and policies, you will assist the coordination of accounting and budgeting efforts within the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
PARTNERSHIP WITH A HOSPITAL
- Assist in serving as the main point of contact between AHN Tanzania's hospital partners' billing and payables departments.
- To guarantee that partner balances are reviewed and approved, conduct quarterly reconciliations between AHN and its hospital partners.
- Communicate with hospital partners to handle any NHIF rejections.
INVOICING
- At the beginning of each month, we send our hospital partners preliminary invoices, and we work with the CMs and the hospital partners to get them authorized as quickly as possible.
- Make sure that billing occurs on schedule and adheres to the internal deadlines set by AHN.
COLLECTIONS
- Make sure cash session payments are collected within 7 days of billing.
- Work closely with NHIF to make sure that hospital partners are paid on time and that this information is used to inform how to collect money from NHIF sessions.
- reach and surpass the monthly collecting goals set by AHN.
- Maintain the organization's A/R collection pipeline and assist the finance department with weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Make sure there are enough controls in place to stop the A/R from aging.
FINANCIAL STRUCTURE
- Any policy alterations that NHIF may propose should be communicated to AHN.
- Help the financial department keep accurate records of the outstanding debt balances.
- Organize any additional financial procedures as necessary.

Essential Competencies:
- a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a closely related subject.
- A bonus is having CPA (T) training.
- possess expertise and at least two (2) years of relevant industry experience working in a credit management capacity.
- demonstrated capacity for creating and carrying out credit management programs and collection tactics.
- experience with planning and executing plans using data.
- advanced analytical and mathematical abilities.
- a strong sense of structure and planning.
- Skills in problem analysis and resolution.

- possess a strong understanding of departmental reporting, regulatory compliance, and financial management.
