- Our client is a reputable hospitality company with operations in the Arusha, Meatu-Simiyu, and Mara Regions and is a Tanzanian company registered under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 212). We are currently seeking a General Manager to join our team on their behalf. The job will be based in Tanzania, Meatu.
Summary of the role
- In order to constantly enhance the entire guest experience in line with the company's vision and goal, the general manager (GM) will be responsible for managing the group's accommodation and camp operations as well as operating DMC business. The Managing Director is the GM's superior.

- Close collaboration with the sales and marketing team, contributing favorably to the marketing of the company's hospitality division in line with the marketing strategy of the organization

- Ensure that all learning and development strategies are examined and put into action.
- Know everything there is to know about the business's charitable, wildlife, and conservation efforts, and understand how to tie these into all aspects of operation.
2.Operations:
- by holding regular meetings with the relevant teams, effective ecological monitoring and management
- Encourage, inspire, mentor, and develop operational HODs and team members
- Ensure departmental work is completed to standard in accordance with conservation criteria and support quality inspection of the land.

3. Financial Reporting, Management, and Administration:
- Financial oversight and control with the appropriate teams from both a revenue generation and a cost control viewpoint. Responsible for creating the company's annual budget with the finance team.

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DETAILS
Education:-
- 3-year diploma in hospitality management or bachelor's degree
- Strong business sense would be advantageous.
- The group employs a variety of platforms, including Google Suite and the PMS, POS, Xero, and DMC, thus excellent computer skills are essential.
Knowledge and abilities:
- Senior managerial experience in bespoke high end luxury hospitality for ten (10) years.
- experience operating safaris or in isolated areas
- demonstrated capacity to create and sustain fruitful partnerships
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- We would appreciate a candidate with a solid history in food and beverage.
