Position Description

An organization called Management and Development for Health (MDH) is non-profit and non-governmental, and its main goal is to help meet the public health objectives of Tanzanians and people everywhere.
Health System Strengthening, Nutrition, Reproductive, Maternal, New-born and Child Health (RMNCH), Non-Communicable Diseases of Public Health Importance, and Communicable Diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria are among these priorities. MDH firmly supports numerous local and international entities, including the Ministry of Health (MoH), the President's Office Regional Authorities and Local Government (PORALG), donor organizations, academic institutions, and and religious institutions, among others.

MDH is looking for a capable person to fill the role listed below.

In Dar es Salaam

Position Description

MDH invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of logistics officer in collaboration with the Dar es Salaam City Council, Temeke, Kinondoni, Kigamboni, and Ubungo Municipal Councils as follows:

responsibilities and obligations:

Collect samples from medical facilities and deliver them to the lab; return test findings to the facilities. aid in the distribution of tools, materials, and equipment to hospitals and other necessary locations.
Always drive cautiously to protect both your own and the motorcycle's safety.
Conduct routine motorcycle inspections to identify and promptly report any maintenance requirements.
Make sure the motorcycle is always in good shape.
Make sure all mandatory motorcycle reports are completed appropriately and filed on time by indicating current motorbike fuel and service cost records.
Perform any additional duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor/ Transport officer/ Site Manager.

the necessary qualifications, education, work experience, and skills

a diploma from the secondary school level or above with honors in English and Kiswahili
It is imperative to be fluent in both spoken and written English as well as Kiswahili.
A driving certificate from a reputable school, such as a VETA certificate, is advantageous.
valid class A driver's license. Having a license class "B" is an advantage.
a minimum of three (3) years' worth of driving expertise, whether in the public or private sector.
knowledge about motorcycle riding.
Sincere, Reliable, and Capable of Maintaining Confidentiality
self-assured, with a track record of proven honesty and innovation.
ability to keep travel records in accordance with training.
the capacity to work with little supervision.
having the ability and desire to work long hours, including on weekends.
flexibility and capacity to quickly adjust to changes in project requirements
