Job Description for General Manager Position
A. Introduction
- Nathanai Security Company Limited (NASECO) is a registered company in Tanzania with the aim of providing cutting-edge quality and customer oriented security services. The company provides security services to various customers ranging from individuals and residential to large commercial and industrial sectors such as Agricultural Estates, Mining, Ports, Private Sectors, Non-Governmental Organizations, Foreign Missions and Embassies.
- The business offers a wide selection of security services that have been thoroughly tested and meet all national requirements. Currently, the business offers the following services: Security guard services include regular security officers, armed security officers, self-board guards, security system installation, security and safety training, security consulting, and management of events security.
- In order to support overall management, direct and coordinate the company's entire portfolio, which includes overseeing operations, marketing, human resources, and finance, and to plan and implement the organization's general strategic direction, NASECO is seeking a highly motivated and qualified general manager to be based in Dar es Salaam.
B. Duties of the Position
- Supporting overall management, directing and coordinating the company's entire portfolio, which includes keeping an eye on its operations, marketing, human resources, and finances, and planning and putting into practice the overall strategic direction of the business
C. Particular Tasks
1. Lead the administration and implementation of the company's policies, guidelines, and strategie
2. Oversee the creation, evaluation, updating, and implementation of the business's strategic plan, which covers its performance in terms of sales, marketing, operations, human resources, and finances.
3. Oversee and coordinate all departmental activities in order to create and carry out long-term goals and objectives that will help the company achieve its growth and profitability targets.
4. To assess the department's progress toward predetermined goals and objectives, support reviews analyses of activities, expenses, operations, and projected data.
5. Holds meetings with management and other administrative staff to review accomplishments and talk about any goals or targets that need to be changed in light of the existing situation and conditions for progress.
6. Ensure cost effectiveness and avoid operational delays to accomplish company goals by overseeing all departments (operation, sales and marketing, human resources, and finance) and reviewing their daily operating reports.
7. Monitors the execution of departmental tasks and evaluates performance metrics.
8. Examines and supports sales and marketing to supervise design ideas with fundamentals and improvement to give cost-effective strategies, safety, client requirements, and market expansion.
9. Examines operations and strategies to satisfy outsourcing and marketing planning needs to expand into new areas.
10. Examines and grants approval for the creation of accounting analyses for operational effectiveness, financial reporting, budgetary planning, and submission for capital expenditures.
11. Lead and manage workers to carry out their responsibilities successfully and efficiently
12. Carry out any additional tasks that management may prescribe.
D. Education, training, and knowledge in the field:
- A bachelor's degree at the very least in administration, law, management, logistics, business administration, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in the field or a closely comparable field
- Experience in the security sector is absolutely necessary.
- Must possess computer literacy (application of MS offices)
- Decision-making, objectivity, reliability, emotional stability, integrity, safety management, professionalism, and reporting abilities are necessary talents.
