role objectives and major responsibilities

Role objectives:

With assistance from Tax Managers, the Tax Specialist will concentrate on all tax-related issues facing the business. This includes tax audits, tax governance, planning, advisory, and regulatory compliance, assistance with all tax-related accounting requirements in accordance with applicable tax laws, and conducting tax risk assessments. The Tax Specialist will also implement policies, procedures, process enhancements, and best practices in relation to taxation to ensure the business achieves a high level of compliance.
Accountabilities include creating and submitting all tax returns.
properly calculating the tax liabilities while performing reconciliation in accordance with the ERCS Regulations.
making sure that all tax payments are made on schedule.
Prepare a reconciliation of all GLs with a tax component.
managing all communications with the appropriate authorities and making ensuring that they are properly documented.
helping in the management of tax audits

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualification

At least [3] years of experience in a tax-related function
Experience in the telecom sector is advantageous
complete comprehension of the tax function theory
advanced Microsoft Excel abilities in particular Strong computer literacy Financial policies, procedures, and systems
to be knowledgeable about the most recent laws controlling the tax function
Networking skills with other market participants
a college or university grad with a business administration, accounting, or finance degree
A specific tax qualification, such as a Postgraduate Diploma in Taxation, or a CPA (T),
