- Keep Children Safe The largest autonomous children's organization in the world is based in Tanzania. We work in more than 120 nations to save children's lives, defend their rights, and enable them to reach their full potential. Save the Children provided almost 400 million vulnerable beneficiaries with our essential programming in 2021 so they could live, learn, and be protected. Children made up more than 180 million (44.7%) of those. Over 330 million people were indirectly reached, with 42% (139 million) of them being children, while 75 million people were directly reached, making up 57.5% (43 million) of the total. Every kid has the right to survival, protection, development, and involvement in society, according to our vision. Our mission is to spur improvements in how the world views and treats children. and to bring about quick and long-term improvement in their lives. Using a system strengthening strategy and in collaboration with the Tanzanian government, civil society organizations, and foreign organizations, Save the Children supports programs for children in the areas of health and nutrition, child protection, education, and child rights governance. The group has increased the reach of its programs to thirteen (13) locations on Tanzania's mainland.
