Regarding the role

• It gives us great pleasure to inform you that we are searching for a Territory Manager to work out of our offices in Geiita, Tanzania. It will handle all operational and commercial activities for a portfolio of mining, quarrying, and infrastructure customers in Tanzania. This position will play a significant leadership role within our Africa team. In this position, frequent travel will be expected.
• The entire lifeblood of our company is our territory managers. They are responsible for the operational and financial success of a certain Orica Territory as General Managers. To be successful as a territory manager, you must comprehend the values, aims, and objectives of your consumers.
• Our Territory Managers have access to a wide range of support streams and services, including technical engineering knowledge, operational excellence, human resources, and commercial support, to help them thrive in each of their responsibilities.

What you plan to do

• Manage all operational tasks within the region in accordance with SHES policies, production goals, and client expectations;
• Ensure that teams with the necessary motivation, aptitude, competence, and training are present at all operational sites throughout the region;
• oversee client connections and all pertinent business operations at each location within the territory;
• enact measures to secure the best possible exploitation, accessibility, and security of corporate assets within the territory;
• Make sure that critical positions and employees have succession and development plans in place.

What you'll be bringing

• sharing the principle that safety should always come first;
• tertiary degrees in mining, business, engineering, or a similar field;
• Successful operational leadership track record;
• extensive experience in managing and negotiating commercial customer contracts;
• a strong foundation in mathematics, analysis, and systems;
• a motivating leadership approach;
• technical and managerial expertise in mining or quarrying.
