What We Do
- In Africa, The School of St. Jude is a pioneering figurehead in philanthropic education. We provide 1,800 students with a top-notch education that is completely free, as well as access to further education for hundreds of graduates and 30,000+ Tanzanians each year. St. Jude's is supported by kind donors from all over the world, who enable us to carry out our purpose of providing brilliant, underprivileged Tanzanian students with a free, excellent education.
Who are you?"
- a certified teacher of emotional intelligence for pupils between the ages of 7 and 18
- devoted to young people and eager to help develop their emotional intelligence and careers in order to improve future generations
- a certified typing instructor with experience working with young children between the ages of 15 and 18
- enthusiastic about computer literacy
- You fall asleep at night thinking of changing people's lives by providing career advice and the skills needed to pursue a desired career or future.
How you'll act
- For children in Standard 7 in October, Form 2 in November, Form 4 in January–April, and other classes and dates as may be indicated, offer a full Emotional Intelligence curriculum for 60–80 hours.
- Adjust and revise the EI curriculum so that we have varied curricula, lesson plans, and other materials to accommodate various age groups.
- Provide career education to Form 2, Form 4, and A-level students in accordance with the schedule.
- Help the careers staff create and administer the student and alumni career magazine.
- Teach pupils the fundamentals of typing on a computer keyboard, including how to use all of their fingers correctly to type data, text, and symbols.
- Using QWERTY keyboards, instructors should aim for 50 WPM and 98–100% accuracy while teaching typing speed and accuracy.
- To gauge pupils' development from beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, administer standardized typing tests.
What we are seeking
- basis in counseling psychology or educational psychology
- Having good computer-related skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other programs, and typing at least 80 words per minute with above 98% accuracy.
- Having good time management skills and speaking and writing English well
- excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- good time management, organizational abilities, and independence
