Career Summary

• to carry out fundamental database administration tasks for the bank's whole database management systems while guaranteeing adherence to best practices for database system development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.

Principal duties:

• Perform daily database administration tasks like as configuration and monitoring, space management, capacity planning, database backup and recovery, and disaster recovery set up, among others.
• Perform routine maintenance on enterprise databases, such as analyzing, troubleshooting, resolving, and fixing problems with production, test, and disaster recovery, as well as responding to business query requests (ad hoc and scheduled).
• Utilize solutions for proactive database system monitoring to ensure secure services with minimal downtime.
• Participates in conversations about the requirements for data architecture and suggests the use of suitable database and data management technology.
• Install databases and upgrade server software and associated products (e.g. WebLogic Application Servers).
• the security of databases.
• Manage database recovery and backup procedures.
• Support scheduled processing and system maintenance during off-peak hours.
• Lead your team of database administrators.
• Manage cases and refer them to vendors for problem solving.
• Attend to any additional tasks the line manager assigns.

Requirements for Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

• a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
• 3 years minimum of advanced Oracle database management experience.
• extensive knowledge of shell scripting.
• certificates for professionals Oracle Database 11g or higher will have the added benefits of OCA and OCP.
• expertise of Oracle, MS SQL, and many newly emerging databases on a technical level.
• administrative skills for LINUX and UNIX.
• talents in IT service management.
