- Dodoma City (6°10'23"S, 35°44'31"E) is situated in the middle of the nation, 455 kilometers west of Dar es Salaam, the country's previous capital, and 441 km south of Arusha City, the birthplace of the East African Community. Additionally, through Mtera, it is 259 kilometres north of Iringa Municipality. The City has a total area of 2,669 km2, of which 625 km2 are occupied by people.
- Dodoma has a semiarid climate with generally warm temperatures all year long. Although average maximum temperatures remain constant throughout the year, in July, average low temperatures are 13°C. The average amount of precipitation each year is 570 mm, with the majority falling between November and April, the wet season, and the rest of the year, the dry season.
- The city is served by the recently renovated Dodoma Airport and the Central Railway Line, which runs 465 kilometers between here and Dar es Salaam. Major roads also link Dodoma to Dar es Salaam in the east via the Morogoro Region, Mwanza City in the west via Singida, and Arusha in the north via Kondoa.
- Public transportation is widely accessible from the city center and may be used to travel to the University, which is about 8 km east of the city center. Due to Dodoma's geographic center, UDOM is ideally situated to assist applicants from all over the nation, particularly Dodoma-based government and private sector workers who, up until now, had difficulty finding training options in the region. These workers can easily use UDOM to blend employment and study for their professional progress.
