Job Description
- Must be a Tanzanian Citizen; preference given to candidates Living in Mlandizi and Kibaha or near by areas Cashier experience and basic computer proficient is a must Requirement.
Position: CashierLocation: Mlandizi and KibahaNature of job: Full time (from 7:30AM to 7:00PM)No of Positions: 20Salary: Tsh 100,000 – Tsh 300,000Age: 18-27 years.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Banking
- Computes customer bills.
- Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
- Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
- Provides refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise or as directed by managers.
- Reconciles cash drawer daily.
- Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased or refers them to someone who can.
- Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
- Provides clerical and secretarial assistance to departments as needed.
- Acts as backup to switchboard operator.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Keeps work area neat and clean.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Form Four, High school, certificate, diploma level or equivalent desired.
- Three years experience as a Cashier ie M-pesa, tigo pesa, etc
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Must be proficient in use of computers.
- Proclivity for catching errors and enacting appropriate changes.
- Patient, Motivated self-starter.
