Desired Candidate Profile
- The Community-Based Protection unit under Protection Section undertakes community-based activities in Nduta Refugee Camp including community mobilization/engagement, strengthening and supporting community leadership, women empowerment/inclusion, community-based feedback mechanisms, peaceful coexistence, support to persons with specific needs, family reunification, coordination of community assessment, commemoration of international days, support in distribution of dignity kits, firewood, briquets and all distributions targeting PSNs. It also oversees all community service functions implemented directly by UNHCR or through partner agencies in Nduta Camp whose activities are crucial and ongoing.
- The candidate has in-depth knowledge of the context and understands the community quite well. He is extremely dedicated and a dependable team member. He always demonstrates willingness to take up other responsibilities as needed in the unit and is committed to continuous learning. He carries out his activities with professionalism and commitment. His capability to work independently and assuming more responsibilities in CBP, was evident in the absence of the Community Based Protection Associates during which he managed the programme very well amidst the challenges that came with COVID 19 pandemic requiring new approaches to protection interventions. He has great potential needed in the organization.
