Reports to: Senior Advisor for the Delivery of Quality Services

Recap of the position:

• A self-driven individual will be in charge of providing overall technical leadership and oversight of Care &Treatment (ART delivery, FP&CECAP) interventions and services at the regional, district, and facility site levels as the Advisor- Care &Treatment (ART delivery, FP&CECAP) Service Delivery. This entails keeping up with important developments and priorities related to the implementation of care and treatment services, putting important national and international priorities into practice, and collaborating with and assisting other regional staff in the supported region with substantive and technical guidance. She/he would collaborate closely with the relevant regional and Facilities funded by the USAID Afya Yangu Southern Program and district-level health management teams

Requirements: Education, Work experience and Skills:

1. A doctorate in medicine (MD or equivalent), or an advanced diploma in medicine.

2. Preferably, a master's degree in public health or a closely related field.

3. Three years of expertise in the planning and implementation of Care & Treatment programs at the regional level. A minimum of five years of work experience in facility-based HIV program services

4. Practical understanding of HIV programs supported by PEPFAR.

5. Knowledge of CQI and operational research in HIV care and treatment, FP/HIV integration, and cervical cancer screening programs, as well as monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), data analysis, interpretation, and utilization.

6. The capacity to perform well and meet deadlines while working with little supervision.

7. Outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills.

8. Proficiency in spoken and written Swahili and English.

9. Extensive computing expertise (MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint).

10. The capacity to operate without much direction and with excellent problem-solving abilities.
