Job Description:
- The post holder is in charge of providing excellent cash services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- To provide superior cash services
- To guarantee that customer account and instrument information is accurately recorded
- Make sure that the given checks are accurately recorded.
- Make sure the beneficiary account and account name on the deposit slip match the names of the payee
- Make sure that checks are drawn correctly in all respects.
- Make sure that all cheque deposits have the payee number properly written on the back.
- Make that the crossing stamp is present on both the deposit slips and the accompanying checks.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- to accept and post money orders, checks, and cash deposits
- to transfer money in exchange for recognized instruments.
- To write a personal check against covers
- to provide change in money
- To make sure there is enough money in the till
- Place extra money or currencies in the safe.
- At the end of the business day, make sure the cash in the register matches the user's cash analysis report.
- Put together and submit cash returns for your own general ledger accounts.
