Responsibilities in Brief:
- To develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with SME Banking Business customers in order to expand the Bank's current SME business and improve the quality of the existing SME portfolio (assets and liabilities), as well as to identify, prioritize, and pursue new and existing banking opportunities with prospects and clients.
- To promote and sell the Bank's products by adopting a holistic view of SME clients' requirements, developing professional sales practices, and cultivating long-term customer relationships in order to meet/exceed sales targets and objectives of the Retail/SME Department.
Purpose of Work:
- To maximize the benefits from current connections and draw in new business from targeted consumers, promote and maintain the highest levels of customer service, effectiveness, and turnaround times.
- to build, cultivate, and maintain new SME connections that have the potential to flourish and yield higher returns.
- Convert leads into new customers and evaluate synergy prospects.
- Identify the needs of individual customers and assist them by advising the best products for their commercial requirements. Send in credit proposals that are thoughtfully crafted, well-researched, and in line with the bank's credit policy.
- Improve the bank's reputation constantly to make it appear to the target markets as one of the finest in the SME sector in terms of customer awareness and reactivity, as well as creativity.
- to achieve and surpass sales goals for the bank's goods and services.
- To reduce non-performing assets, continuously monitor and improve the quality and risk profile of the SME banking company portfolio.
- Ensure deposit development and accumulation with the goal of creating a cheap and reliable liabilities base.
- Keep in touch with customers on a regular basis (by phone, email, or in person), discuss their financial needs, negotiate the purchase of financial products, and keep them informed of the bank's offerings.
- Keep meticulous records of your interactions with everyone you know, the bank's management, and other departments.
- Write weekly reports on business pipeline and sales performance for all product categories.
- Manage SME borrowers with a maximum amount of TZs 600 million.
- Reduce non-performing assets by promptly pursuing unpaid arrears and excesses in accordance with the bank's credit policies and procedures.
- Manage defaulting facilities and choose the best workout techniques to reduce loss, including suggestions for reshaping exposure that are suitable for approval.
- Keep current with the services and goods offered by rivals and your peer group.

Knowledge, expertise, and competencies:
- university degree that is pertinent.
- 3 years of banking experience, preferably in portfolio management and working with high net worth individuals
- strong background in sales.
- capable of maintaining the highest standards of service.
- knowledge of successfully completing credit applications.
- knowledge of the high net worth individual and affluent market, including typical characteristics such as lifestyle and financial needs.
- comprehension and knowledge of the segment value proposition.
- solid understanding of all relevant products and channels, including qualification standards, features and advantages of the products and channels, price, potential product/channel combinations, and effective product use through self-service channels.
- Knowledge of the bank's service provider networks and products in regard to service level agreements
- Recognizing which goods are most advantageous to this market and/or most required by high net worth individuals, as well as which items are most profitable for the bank.
- understanding of comparable rival items and services
- and segmentation tactics.
- understanding of the local financial climate and market conditions that could affect a portfolio.
- working familiarity with banking systems.
- thorough knowledge of credit principles, application procedures, and maintenance procedures.
