IT Services Delivery Manager, REPORTING LINE

ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES:

• Responding to network user calls and emails for troubleshooting is the responsibility of the computer networking administrator. The Administrator must be capable of both on-site and remote diagnosis and repair guidance. keeping an eye out for connectivity issues, security concerns, and bottlenecks in the network. establishing and keeping up security measures to protect firm software, systems, and data
• The duties of the Network Administrator include: Support and Operations establishing, modifying, and maintaining the internal networks for SportPesa Tanzania.
• Creating and maintaining all network setups, security, and application systems.
• establishing and maintaining a disaster recovery plan, and resolving network performance problems.
• recommending updates, patches, new software and hardware, giving users technical help and direction, planning and carrying out preventive maintenance on the network infrastructure, and more.
• achieving 99.99% network infrastructure availability
• Level 1 escalation for all Network incidents
• participating in the Network Incident Resolution Team
• updating the network documentation
• Network inventory and spares management
• Managing Setting up all network hardware (backup configuration and application of standardized configuration templates to Network equipment)
• coordinating with service providers to ensure that agreed-upon SLAs are upheld in full
• pursuing ongoing education to stay current with network technology
• Project management and IT&S processes and procedures are managed in coordination with the ITSM/Service Delivery Manager.
• confirming the validity of network licenses and starting the process of obtaining new ones before they expire
• establishing, altering, and erasing network user accounts in response to requests and after receiving the appropriate approvals
• fixing and regaining functionality after hardware or software failures
• coordinating with impacted teams and communicating with them
• completing any new tasks that management has given you.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

•  A degree in communications, computer science, or a closely related field
• 2-4 years of IP network management and administration experience.
• Experience working for a telco or service provider is advantageous.
• basic knowledge of TCP/IP, ARP, DHCP, and DNS.
• excellent knowledge of Layer 2 technologies, including VLANs, Trunks, and Port-Channels.
• knowledgeable about Layer 3 protocols, particularly BGP and OSPF.
• has knowledge of firewall technologies such as Zones, VPNs, NAT, and Policies, among others.
• has practical knowledge of NAC tools like Cisco ACS or ISE.
• competent in management and enterprise wireless technology.
• competent in administering Linux.
• knowledgeable about network monitoring software like Zabbix and SolarWinds.
• cooperative and open to learning.
• A plus is having a professional certification like the CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, or JNCIS-ENT
• Workplace environment and physical effort:
• Work shifts are frequently required, and there may not be any early notice.
• No regular travel is necessary.
