Position Description
Role Objective
The role of the digital architect is to maximize the value of technological disruptions into present and future capabilities by establishing, maintaining, and evolving the emergent architecture that supports the digital vision and commercial objectives. By generating and prioritizing "technical epics," this function is responsible for discovering, analyzing, and directing the execution of change towards the digital architecture vision and digital business vision.
Design, development, and implementation of digital architecture techniques, standards, patterns, and innovations are overseen and led by a digital architect in accordance with the Vodacom Group's blueprint for digital architecture.
•Identify technical enablers and look for new technologies to promote innovation.
•Control innovation and acquire the ability to keep an eye on emerging technologies and market trends
•Offer knowledge on fundamental digital architectural principles, disruptive technological trends, and their effects
•Governance of enterprise architecture in agile software development
•Definition of ecosystem strategy and integration APIs
•Scouting, screening, and evaluation of technology innovation

Techniques for estimating scaled Agile
•Cloud-native web-scale architectures, such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
•Creating a roadmap and infrastructure strategy
•Creating web-scale architectures and systems for creativity and participation
•DevSecOps procedures and equipment for automation
•Big Data, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence technologies and architectures
•Held in high regard as a thought leader and change agent who has the power to sway business and IT decision-makers
•Exceptional technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; high levels of creativity; and a pragmatic, principle-driven approach.
•The capacity to weigh the long- and short-term effects of decisions and the ability to motivate short-term behaviors that are compatible with long-term objectives
•Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities that allow for the efficient delivery of support and direction across programs
•Awareness of the market for telecommunications and digital services, as well as current and future business and technological trends
Technical or professional qualifications are required:
•A Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a closely related discipline
•At least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution, or technical architecture; application development; middleware; information analysis; database management; or operations in a multitier context, must be covered by three years of experience or more.
•Experience developing technical and solution architecture in a digital business context and modeling business capacity
