Description
- The Back-End Developer creates the logical back-end and core computational logic of a website, software or information system (using broad technologies such as JAVA, C#, Python etc). Creating prototypes and designs and builds modules and solutions in all iterative cycles, to develop, maintain, and optimize the business outcome. This role is responsible for performing peer reviews, collaborating with architects and other developers to produce design, and ensuring that technical documentation and training is provided for reference and operational support. Typically reports to the Chapter Lead.
Job Responsibility
- Writes and runs unit and integration tests, supports testing of deliverables against user and technical story acceptance tests, and designs and develops code; * Creates micro-services in the Digital Agility Layer that support certain commercial requirements and customer journeys;
- Constructs webpages and user interfaces with a focus on performance, taking into account network traffic, HTTP requests, and other performance-related improvements;
- Makes use of available CI/CD tools to test and deploy built microservices to pertinent environments;
- Utilizes and comprehends JSON and RESTful APIs;
- Coordinates with pertinent internal and external stakeholders to define business requirements and guarantee the right high-quality result;
- Calculates user and technical story estimates to assist in prioritizing the backlog;
- Creates and runs unit and integration tests, and supports testing against acceptance tests for user and technical story;
- Maintains code standards. Troubleshoots, maintains, and optimizes deployed micro-services based on stated ownership allocation. Manages technical debt as part of daily tasks.
