East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL), the largest business unit in Diageo Africa and the largest listed Company on the NSE in Kenya, is a subsidiary of Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL), a fully coordinated beverage company. SBL, the second-largest beer firm with a market share of about 25%, only conducts business in Tanzania.
SBL was founded in 1988 under the name Associated Breweries Limited, opened its first brewery in Dar es Salaam in 1996, and switched its name to Serengeti Breweries Limited in 2002.
After being bought out by EABL in October 2010, the business now has three breweries, one each in Dar, Mwanza, and Moshi.
Serengeti Premium Lager and Serengeti Lite are SBL's signature brands. Other brand portfolios include Pilsner Lager, Guinness, and Guinness smooth. SBL, which has its headquarters in Dar, is also the distributor of a number of Johnnie Walker®, Smirnoff Vodka®, Bailey's Irish Cream®, Richot®, Bond 7 Whiskey®, and Gilbeys Gin® world-class spirit brands.

Role Purpose:

The role holder is accountable for delivering exceptional performance across all metrics on the balanced scorecard (Safety, Quality, Environment, Asset Care, Delivery, Efficiency, Cost and Morale).
Make sure the factory's assets are available and reliable, and push for improvements in the engineering and maintenance processes.
the development of effective maintenance programs, OEM audits, AC audits, and effective maintenance planning and execution

Primary Responsibilities

uphold safety and health standards
Drive Continuous Improvement in Asset Care for the Brewery by allowing OEM & AC Audits and monitoring the operation of the current equipment.
By assuring user competency, that Asset Care practices are integrated into Tier 1 operational processes, system compliance, and monitoring and guiding Asset Care KPIs, CMMS system health is maintained.
Planning resources to support asset care. Spares, labor, and time are ready in advance of when they are needed.
Be an expert coach and role model in the use of Root Cause Problem Solving and the 5 Whys to guarantee the identification and delivery of permanent fixes.
To support the development of Asset Care capability, mentor Operational reams in Asset Care practices.
Take charge of the budget for repairs and upkeep to ensure spending is prioritized and under control.
Take charge of the advancement of machine and maintenance-related abilities throughout shifts.
By keeping a database of all assets, enabling the setup of new equipment with reference to spares, SAP PMs, and maintenance schedule, we may develop and conserve maintenance programs.
Manage employee performance by performing performance reviews, proficiency assessments, creating capability development plans, and making sure that the necessary workforce is available in accordance with Diageo standards and guidelines.

Required Education and Experience:

B. Eng. Graduate (Mechanical / Electrical/ Industrial Engineering)
three or more years of experience in the same position and preferably in FMCG in the engineering industry.
understanding of asset care best practices and maintenance management systems
comprehensive knowledge of reliability concepts and maintenance schedules.
Ability to mentor and create a multidisciplinary team while managing people performance
proactive, systematic problem-solving abilities acquired by exposure to ManEx, Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM.
Maintenance management track record: KPI improvement, planning effectiveness, adherence to maintenance schedule, CI, backlog, and maintenance mix

Project management expertise & background

proficient in the use of the Diageo packages, SAP PM, and Microsoft Office.
