Description
- The position of Senior Manager of Financial Management and Compliance is now open at IntraHealth International. In order to help local partners transition to receiving PEPFAR funding as a USAID Prime Partner and to comply with USG regulations on financial management systems, compliance, accounting software, audit readiness, Non-US Pre-Award Survey (NUPAS) readiness, human resources (HR), and business development and sustainability, the Senior Manager of Financial Management and Compliance will offer strong guidance and leadership.
- The Senior Manager of Financial Management and Compliance will supervise the caliber and timeliness of approaches and deliverables, building on lessons learned and experiences. With the aid of top-notch technical advice, tools, mentorship, and support, s/he will assist local partners in formulating and carrying out their capacity development programs. In addition to supporting a culture of compliance, internal learning, and adaptation to enhance project performance, this job will significantly contribute to learning, sharing, and training methodologies for regional partners and other priority audiences.
- The location of this position will be Africa.
Principal tasks and obligations:
- In charge of monitoring the effectiveness and timeliness of methods and deliverables related to the project's emphasis on financial and operational management
- Utilize the capacity development plan for each local partner to monitor the progress of the technical help.
- Building on lessons learned and experiences, the Senior Manager of Financial Management and Compliance will oversee the standard and timeliness of methods and deliverables. S/he will support local partners in developing and implementing their capacity building initiatives by providing them with expert technical guidance, tools, mentorship, and support. This position will significantly contribute to learning, sharing, and training approaches for regional partners and other important audiences in addition to fostering a culture of compliance, internal learning, and adaptability to improve project performance.
- Africa will be the location of this position.
Principal duties and commitments:
- responsible for keeping an eye on the efficiency and promptness of the approaches and deliverables used to support the project's emphasis on financial and operational management
- Give consultants working with local implementing partners technical direction, advice, tools, mentoring, and assistance, resolving new problems in conjunction with the project's US-based team.
- Give technical direction on managing a USAID award's risk and fraud prevention.
- Monitor the development, use, and evaluation of training programs (both in-person and online) and other learning resources for regional partners in pertinent fields.
- Assist local project leadership and Local Implementing Partners (LIPs) in developing high-quality, affordable workplans and ensuring timely completion of project deliverables in compliance with the project's scope of work.
- identifies, accepts, and coordinates high-quality technical assistance that is responsive to project needs and donor expectations and helps local partners become comply with USG Rules and Regulations.
- To create project workplans that are viable, relevant to local needs, affordable, and offer lasting results, make sure project teams include partners and key stakeholders.
- Recruit and manage consultants working with local implementation partners, keeping an eye on their progress and the status of their deliverables, and ensuring that all documentation and products are produced on time and to a high standard.
- Create a consultant SOW, examine it, and give careful attention to the deliverables
- Contribute to reporting requirements and encourage the gathering of indicators and other data in order to improve performance.
- Support documentation, knowledge management, and M&E efforts to help foster a culture of learning, adaptability, and data utilization.

Qualifications:
- 10 years of applicable experience in nonprofit administration, financial management, human resources, and/or compliance with a Bachelor's degree, at least 8 years of related experience with a Master's degree, or 6 years with a PhD.
- With a strong emphasis on enhancing the abilities of local entities and government counterparts in finance, operations, and administration, significant expertise in managing PEPFAR-funded initiatives.
- It is necessary to have strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- To carry out the aforementioned duties, one must be able to operate both individually and in a team.
- Ability to communicate technical information simply and successfully to audiences that are both technical and non-technical, as well as strong quantitative/qualitative and analytical skills
- a track record of collaboration with international donors, implementing partners, and host governments.
