Position Description

In order to fill the position of an architect at our offices in Arusha, Tanzania, Triple A Architects is now seeking two (2) qualified candidates.

This particular role's duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• assist in the provision of initial and fundamental services during the work stages of conception, feasibility study, outline proposal, scheme design, detail design, production information, tender action, project planning, operational on site, and completion;
• Participants must agree on the architect's services after discussing the client's requirements, including the time frame, and evaluating and offering advise on how to move forward.
• assemble client data for the location, go there, and perform an evaluation;
• advising on the necessity for and the range of services provided by other consultants;
• analyze the client's needs, draft a general proposal, and get rough project estimates for the client's approval;
• Make ready and deliver production data, including drawings. bill of quantities, schedule of materials, schedule of materials and workmanship specifications, and all other construction-related information;
• aid in the planning and organization of the tender action, providing advice and securing the clients' permission to the list of tenderers, inviting bids from approved bids, and providing information and advice on submitted bids for negotiating with the chosen tenderer;
• administer the agreement, visit the job site to inspect the work's progress and quality;
• putting together and presenting a design concept utilizing CAD and conventional sketching techniques;
• Assess, counsel, and prepare for surveys and investigations in accordance with customer needs for matters such site suitability, building energy efficiency, various reports and proposals, and risk management;
• design, advise, and offer services such estate planning, demolition work, planning and building acts, and environmental research;
• The candidate would be expected to collaborate closely with a group of other construction-related experts, including quantity surveyors, designers, engineers, and architects, in this position. Additionally, the candidate must possess the great organization abilities necessary for our continuously changing workplace, be able to balance allocated work, prioritize properly, perform well under pressure, and be enthusiastic.

Qualifications:

• a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering, architectural technology, or a comparable field;
• registered with the appropriate authorities is a benefit;
• must have a minimum of one (1) year of practical experience in the planning, building, and supervising of architectural and construction projects;
• must be adept at using BIM and computer-aided design (CAD) software;
• strong organizational and planning skills;
• the capacity to easily convey ideas and technical concepts;
• For team-based work, strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Presentation skills with coworkers and clients at all levels are also important.
• To use current technology and equipment efficiently, one must possess the necessary abilities and intuitive knowledge.
• Based on years of experience, diploma holders will also be taken into consideration.
