Nature and reach
- The Gender and Nutrition Officer works closely with the bank management team to provide overall support on gender, youth, and nutrition functions across the bank operations, programs, and partners. The Gender and Nutrition Officer directly reports to the TI3P Project Coordinator with a dotted reporting line to the Research and Advisory Manager for technical guidance. In order to support the project's implementation of a gender intentional inclusion approach that seeks to address gender inequality and promote women's involvement in and benefit from the dairy value chain while improving the quality and nutrition of household diets, s/he will work closely with respective TI3P staff and partners.

Important Responsibilities
- Technical support and advice for management.
- In close cooperation with different departments and directorates within the bank, drive execution of the Gender and Youth Policy and associated strategy.
- Lead as a technical resource for the TI3P Project and TADB portfolio's integration of gender, youth, and nutrition approaches.
- Develop a comprehensive and effective portfolio of new and existing products, services, programs, and scaling strategies for the TADB business model across the nation by taking the lead in trend profiling and analysis of gender and youth concerns.
- To ensure that gender and nutrition are mainstreamed and in line with national policies and priorities, give technical guidance to the TI3P team and partners as they implement project initiatives.
- To ensure the promotion of gender equality in the TI3P project locations and throughout the Country, identify, create, and cultivate collaborative partnerships with various stakeholders.
- Organize the Gender and Youth Task Force's quarterly meetings to better integrate and apply women's and young people's issues into all of the banks' result areas.
Skills, Information, and Experience:
- Degree in sociology, gender studies, international development, nutrition, community development, or a similar field of study.
- 5 years minimum of experience, 3 of which must have been spent supporting development initiatives, particularly those pertaining to nutrition, youth, and gender issues.
- Technical expertise and experience in women, youth, and development, particularly in relation to food security, financial inclusion, agricultural value chains, or agriculture that integrates nutrition.
- a track record of leading gender-related or related participatory training.
- expertise building alliances with different stakeholders at all company levels, including the community and policy.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities are sought, as well as the capacity to collaborate with people from various origins and cultures.
- Strong analytical abilities, including the capacity to gather, analyze, and generate actionable suggestions for a range of gender and nutrition-related facts.
- Strong communication abilities, including a track record of producing documents that are organized, clear, and brief.
- Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel proficiency on a Windows-based computer.
- proficiency in both English and Kiswahili.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work alone.
