Association for Horticulture in Tanzania (TAHA)

• About 17,588 people make up TAHA in total, divided into three divisions. Large producers, exporters, and processors of horticulturally linked goods are among the comprehensive members. Agro-input suppliers and other service providers in the sector, such as those who work on development projects, offer credit and financing, offer consulting services, and help businesses grow, are examples of allied members.
• Groups and associations of smallholder farmers as well as individuals engaged in horticultural pursuits are associate members. The success of TAHA is rooted in its sizable membership base, which has steadily grown throughout Tanzania's mainland and Zanzibar.
• The Development Division and the Commercial Division are two complimentary business units operated by TAHA. The Association is a part of the Development Division (TAHA). It provides industry stakeholders with services that are driven by demand. The division plans, organizes, and executes all development initiatives that address issues ranging from those affecting smallholders to those affecting the entire country's industrial sector. Through its developmental initiatives, TAHA offers the industry's critical strategic leadership that directs investments and sector contributions.

Background: 

• The mission of TAHA, a leading private sector membership organization, is to advance horticulture in Tanzania, including the cultivation of flowers, fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, and horticultural seeds. For social and economic benefits, TAHA seeks to enhance the growth and competitiveness of the nation's horticultural industry. All the value chain operators in the horticulture industry, including farmers, processors, input and service providers, off-takers, and exporters, are represented by TAHA, a single vocal platform for Tanzanian horticulture. As a result of sharing a variety of communications related to the horticulture sector, TAHA is looking for Request for Qualifications for consulting services in the areas of communication, branding, promotion, and industry information management.
