Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) will add new government positions in September 2022.
Agricultural University of Sokoine
BACKGROUND:
- Tanzania's Morogoro is home to the public Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). On the slopes of the Uluguru mountains is where the university is situated.
- Since its founding, SUA has gained a reputation for providing a wide range of courses and programs in the fields of agriculture, veterinary science, forestry, animal science, wildlife management, tourism management, environmental science, food science, natural resources, nutrition, and rural development.
- By amending Parliamentary Act No. 6 of the same year, Parliamentary Act No. 14 of 1984 created Sokoine University of Agriculture for the first time on July 1st of that year. After the Act was repealed, the university is now run under the Sokoine University of Agriculture Charter, 2007, which is governed by the broad parameters of the Universities Act, 2005.
