Regarding the role
- A dedicated Magazine Keeper - Underground is needed to be situated at our client's facility in Geita, Tanzania.
- The main goal of this position is to assist in ensuring that the magazine area operates efficiently and effectively in order to dispatch and receive finished goods, detonators, tubing, and raw materials in accordance with the national code for the transportation of explosives by road and rail as well as established SH&E and Quality standards.

What you plan to do
- ensuring that the Distribution Safety schedule is adhered to and that Distribution Operators receive proper feedback;
- managing equipment and machinery failures to minimize company disruption;
- ensuring that post-goods issue progress is communicated;
- coordinating with site Distribution to make sure documentation is delivered on time to meet deadlines;
- managing the magazines' explosives limitations in accordance with the explosives regulations;
- ensuring the magazine inventory's operation is accurate;
- ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of the product;
- forming cooperative working relationships with distribution contractors that are affordable;
- maintaining the agreed-upon level of service;
- ensuring that periodicals and inventories adhere to legal requirements
What you'll be bringing
- two to three years of practical experience in the field of distribution.
- a thorough understanding of the distribution process.
- possess or be eager to possess Orica Magazine Keeper Training
- understanding of SHE guidelines and the National Code for the transportation of explosives by road.
- Skills in risk and hazard analysis
- knowledge of training in a distribution setting
