Regarding the role
- We are now searching for a motivated Mechanical Technician to work at our client's location in Geita, Tanzania. This position will answer to the Asset Systems Supervisor.
- This crucial position's major goal is to supply the manufacturing complex with safe and effective plant shutdown and maintenance methods, as well as to minimize downtime through responsible resource utilization.

What you plan to do
- ensuring that all regulatory and corporate obligations for SH&E in connection with plant maintenance activities are met;
- ensuring that maintenance complies with Orica policies and that resources are accessible as needed;
- helping the site manager and the operations team leaders develop and achieve the SHE improvement plan's goals;
- working closely and communicating with project teams, contractors, technical and engineering project teams;
- creating maintenance strategies that sustain long-term plant operation cost-effectively;
- overseeing and taking responsibility for work operations during plant closure and maintenance.
- accepting accountability for all maintenance results and exhibiting improvement commitment;
- reducing downtime and maximizing shutdown time;
What you'll be bringing
- a trade certificate in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation;
- prior experience in supervision, including of contractors;
- understanding of drafting procedures;
- a system for managing computer maintenance;
- Maintenance focused on reliability;
- Advantageous are computer literacy and SAP experience.
